Overview

To be considered for admission to a graduate program at Deree, The American University of Greece U.L.E., applicants must meet the applicable eligibility and academic requirements and submit all required documents.

In accordance with Law 5094/2024, the following applicants are eligible to enroll in second-cycle graduate programs:

• Holders of recognized first-cycle undergraduate degrees from domestic higher education institutions.
• Holders of recognized first-cycle undergraduate degrees from recognized foreign institutions included in the registries of the Hellenic NARIC (DOATAP), in accordance with Law 4957/2022 (Government Gazette A’ 141/21.7.2022).

The graduate admission process includes the following steps:

• Confirm that the eligibility requirements are met.
• Complete and submit the online application form.
• Submit all required documents.
• Participate in an admissions interview.
• Receive an admission decision following the evaluation of the application.

Academic Requirements

In accordance with the admission requirements of the Mother Institution, applicants must have an overall Cumulative Index (CI) equivalent to a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, corresponding to a B grade.

Applicants whose transcripts use a grading system other than the U.S. grading system must submit an official equivalency statement issued by World Education Services (WES).

English-Language Proficiency

Applicants must provide evidence of English-language proficiency through one of the accepted test providers listed under the undergraduate admission requirements.

Graduates of other accredited institutions where English is the language of instruction are not required to submit separate proof of English-language proficiency.

Interview and Program-Specific Requirements

Applicants may be invited to participate in an admissions interview.

Certain programs may have additional admission requirements, such as GMAT or GRE examinations. Any program-specific requirements are included in the relevant Program Study Guide.

Following the evaluation of the application and required documents, applicants may receive one of the following decisions:

Unconditional Acceptance

Unconditional acceptance is granted to applicants who meet all admission requirements and have submitted a complete application file.

Applicants may then proceed with the enrollment process.

Conditional Acceptance

Applicants who have not yet submitted their official diploma or academic transcript, or who are expected to meet all admission requirements before the beginning of the semester, may receive conditional acceptance.

Admission will be finalized provided that:

• All outstanding documents are submitted.
• The application file is complete.
• The requirements of Law 5094/2024 are met.
• The required approval is granted by the Mother Institution.

The process must be completed no later than the first day of the semester.

Applications submitted after the beginning of the program will not be considered for the current intake.

They will instead be reviewed for the immediately following intake.

Requests for the transfer or recognition of academic credits are reviewed separately by the Mother Institution in accordance with:

• The Internal Regulation of Deree, The American University of Greece U.L.E.
• The academic policies and requirements of the Mother Institution.
• Applicable Greek legislation.
• Internationally recognized academic standards.

Applicants must first meet all applicable admission and enrollment requirements.

Where permitted by the relevant program, prior knowledge or experiential learning may be considered for academic credit. The process may include:

• Assessment by the relevant academic department.
• One or more waiver examinations carrying academic credit.
• Final approval by the Mother Institution.

For approved Recognition of Prior Experiential Learning applications, a fee of ninety euros (€90) is charged for each credit hour assessed.

A maximum of twelve (12) credit hours may be awarded through this process.
