Overview

To be considered for admission to a graduate program at Deree, The American University of Greece U.L.E., applicants must meet the applicable eligibility and academic requirements and submit all required documents.

In accordance with Law 5094/2024, the following applicants are eligible to enroll in second-cycle graduate programs:

• Holders of recognized first-cycle undergraduate degrees from domestic higher education institutions.
• Holders of recognized first-cycle undergraduate degrees from recognized foreign institutions included in the registries of the Hellenic NARIC (DOATAP), in accordance with Law 4957/2022 (Government Gazette A’ 141/21.7.2022).

The graduate admission process includes the following steps:

• Confirm that the eligibility requirements are met.
• Complete and submit the online application form.
• Submit all required documents.
• Participate in an admissions interview.
• Receive an admission decision following the evaluation of the application.

Academic Requirements

In accordance with the admission requirements of Roger Williams University (RWU), applicants must have an overall Cumulative Index (CI) equivalent to a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, corresponding to a B grade.

Applicants whose transcripts use a grading system other than the U.S. grading system must submit an official equivalency statement issued by World Education Services (WES).

English-Language Proficiency

Applicants must provide evidence of English-language proficiency through one of the accepted test providers listed under the undergraduate admission requirements.

Graduates of other accredited institutions where English is the language of instruction are not required to submit separate proof of English-language proficiency.

Interview and Program-Specific Requirements

Applicants may be invited to participate in an admissions interview.

Certain programs may have additional admission requirements, such as GMAT or GRE examinations. Any program-specific requirements are included in the relevant Program Study Guide.

Following the evaluation of the application and required documents, applicants may receive one of the following decisions:

Unconditional Acceptance

Unconditional acceptance is granted to applicants who meet all admission requirements and have submitted a complete application file.

Applicants may then proceed with the enrollment process.

Conditional Acceptance

Applicants who have not yet submitted their official diploma or academic transcript, or who are expected to meet all admission requirements before the beginning of the semester, may receive conditional acceptance.

Admission will be finalized provided that:

• All outstanding documents are submitted.
• The application file is complete.
• The requirements of Law 5094/2024 are met.
• The required approval is granted by Roger Williams University.

The process must be completed no later than the first day of the semester.

Applications submitted after the beginning of the program will not be considered for the current intake.

They will instead be reviewed for the immediately following intake.

RWU retains full control and authority over the recognition and transfer of academic credits for the purposes of admission and placement of students into the graduate programs of Deree, The American University of Greece U.L.E.  in accordance with Article 132(a) of Law 5094/2024. Applications for transfer credits received by Deree University U.L.E. are forwarded to RWU, which evaluates them based on its applicable terms and conditions as outlined below: 

• Credit may be given for courses taken in the graduate program of an accredited institution; 
• The Program Coordinators, in consultation with the respective instructor, approve (or otherwise) the transfer on the basis of sufficient equivalence – in content, learning outcomes, and number of credits; 
• The grade of the prospective transfer course must be at least B (or its equivalent); 
• Students may not transfer more than 9 credits from a previous graduate program; 
• No grades are assigned to courses accepted for transfer and those courses do not affect the student’s cumulative index (CI);
